IP65 is one of the international Protection Standards (Ingress Protection) used to describe the protection of equipment against solid foreign objects and water. The two parts of the IP hierarchy are explained in detail below:

First number (dust class) :
Indicates the protection ability of the device against solid foreign bodies.

The second number (waterproof rating) :
Indicates the water protection capability of the device.
For example: IP 65. The first digit is 6, indicating that the fan is completely dustproof. The second number is 5, indicating that the fan prevents low water pressure injection from either direction

Detailed definitions of dust and water resistance ratings from 0 to 8 are listed below:

Dust class:
0: No protection
1: Prevent solid foreign bodies with a diameter greater than 50mm from entering
2: Prevent solid foreign bodies with a diameter greater than 12.5mm from entering
3: Prevent solid foreign bodies with a diameter greater than 2.5mm from entering
4: Prevent solid foreign bodies with a diameter greater than 1mm from entering
5: Dust (limited dust entry will not affect the normal operation of the equipment)
6: Completely dust proof

Waterproof grade:
0: No protection
1: Vertical drip protection
2: Tilt within 15 degrees of drip protection
3: Prevent spraying of water
4: Prevent splashing water
5: Prevent low-pressure water jet from any direction
6: Prevent strong water jet
7: Can be immersed in water under certain conditions
8: It can also work normally under continuous immersion in water
